I have started to use all organic, natural, responsibly sourced, carbon neutral, sustainable planet friendly beauty! In particular Neals Yard Remedies.
Why?
Taking actions that align with my values reduces conflict in my life. It enables me to stand in front of the mirror and be ok with the person looking back.
Am I perfect?
Definitely not! No matter how sick I made myself trying to be perfect for everyone and everything! But what I have done is taken the time to notice myself be more self aware and identify what my values are. What makes me tick? What is important to me?
So when it came to beauty products I wanted to use a company who shared my values. They had to be:
- At least carbon neutral
- Sustainable
- Not tested on animals
- Natural – no chemical nasties
- Organic to ensure I actual gain the benefit in my opinion
- Responsibly sourced
So after trying a few companies which did have some individual lovely products, there was a clear winner – Neals Yard Remedies. I even went a step further and became a consultant.
